CONSTRUCTION ADVISORY BOARD

Prof. Tom Woolley (TBC)
Prof. Woolley has extensive practice experience in Scotland and London, specialising in the renovation of old buildings and working with community groups. He is the former Professor of Architecture at Queens University, Belfast, the Former Chairman of the Northern Ireland Building Regulations Advisory Committee, and is currently a member of the Ministerial Advisory Committee. He continues his practice by undertaking research and consultancy work in ecological materials and
educational advisory work.

Will Stanwix
Will is most known for working with hempcrete, but is also known for working with other natural building materials. He played a crucial role in the planning and construction of the celebrated Flat House on Margant Farm. He’s been championing and using natural materials for many years and has worked in building design, materials production, training, and supply. He’s written a book, lectured, and presented on natural materials all over the UK and Europe.

Phil has successfully delivered projects of up to £120million, however, size is not everything and the attention to detail, process, and control is of equal

Dr Jim Godfrey OBE
Dr Godfrey is the Chairman of the National Institute of Agricultural Botany (NIAB) Board. A specialist in leading strategic change and corporate governance, Jim is a NIAB Board director and a previous chairman of Innovate UK’s Sustainable Agriculture and Food Innovation Platform and of the Commercial Farmers Group. He is a member of the UK Agri-Tech Strategy’s Leadership Council and is a RASE honorary vice president.
